The backdrop to this existing mid 20th Century bungalow was a magnificent view of the Salisbury Crags. The brief was to design a sunroom which would make the most of this, as well as a new bathroom and access corridor to the existing garage.
The new sunroom is fully glazed with a partially glazed lead clad roof, making the most of the setting of the building. Large sliding doors open out onto a timber deck so the room can be "opened up" to the garden when the weather permits. The rest of the extension is clad in untreated western red cedar boarding which has weathered well and will require no maintenance. The bathroom has high level windows all round, offering views of the crags without compromising on privacy.
